Regional Procurement Category Manager

Key job responsibilities:

  • arrangement and holding of tenders to select the suppliers
  • elaboration of strategies by categories and tenders, taking into account trends, needs and specifics of the local market, existing practices and know-how
  • cost model analysis, benchmarking by category
  • elaboration and implementation of cost optimization (reduction), improvement of payment terms;
  • supply risk management, compiling of a risk matrix, development of the corrective actions plan with suppliers
  • management and control of the quality level of materials provided by the suppliers
  • contracting of new suppliers, introduction of alternative materials through tests in accordance with the Company's internal regulations
  • elaboration of a roadmap for sustainable development agenda with suppliers
  • participation in the elaboration, finalization and approval of contracts' standards with suppliers
  • participation in budgeting, complaint management with suppliers and cross-functional projects
  • internal and external activity-specific reporting


Requirements for candidates:

  • Higher education (preferably in the economics)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in direct buying
  • Knowledge of the supplier tendering process
  • Advanced MS Office user (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Advanced level in Azerbaijani and Russian, at least upper-intermediate level in English
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
